FAQ's

Q. I am a busy teacher having to teach larger numbers of children each year, is the Inspired Sprouts Program going to take up a lot of my time?

A: At first, introducing the nutrition basics will require some alloted time from your regular class time. It will take approximately 2 hours to provide students with the basics of Canada's Food Guide but can be completed over a period of time. The program is a year long classroom policy that, once the basics are introduced, there are activities that deepen the knowledge and reinforce the already learned concepts. Most activities will be discussed in class and then taken home for students to work on with their families. The idea of this program is to help educate students and their parents about these nutritional concepts in order to make the program a success.

Q. As a Home School parent, I would love to teach my children about nutrition more in depth than what is in the Health curriculum. Will the Inspired Sprouts Program for Home Schoolers be easy for me to teach?

A: Yes. The information provided is written in an easy to read and understand way. There are charts, diagrams, and bullet points to make the information easy to use as a quick reference. The language used in the program is student-tested and written with each grade in mind.
